SNP - SCAN AND PACK WAREHOUSING
APPLICATION
|
The SNP System was developed to equip one of our
clients, a public warehouse, with the necessary technology to comply
with major retailer- imposed EDI standards and requirements.
With front and back end interfaces built into the system, electronic
purchase orders can be automatically imported, validated against master
files, and, almost instantaneously, uploaded into the order entry
system. Pick tickets are generated, orders are scanned and packed,
and shipments are routed for stores and distribution centers.
As each carton is packed and labeled with a UCC 128 barcode, the
system tracks the carton contents and retains the necessary information
for generating the advance ship notice (856) that is electronically
forwarded to the retailer. And for the customers that are required
to submit invoices electronically, the system can be prompted to
produce the necessary electronic invoices. Both the incoming and
outgoing EDI transactions are handled by programs developed to interface
with the EDI translation package, Trusted Link
